  In the midst of sth (idiom)

  ●if you are in the midst of an event or situation, it is happening around you.(在…之中)

  Examples:  

  1.The government is in the midst of a major crisis.  

  2.We are in the midst of the worst recession in a decade.

  Turn back (phrasal verb)

  ●To return the same way that you came instead of continuing on your journey, or to make someone do this.(往回走,走回头路)

  Examples:  

  1.Bad weather forced them to turn back.  

  2.Refugees who reach the border may be turned back.

  Stick to sth (phrasal verb)

  ●To do something that you promised or decided you would do, or that you believe you should do.

(坚持,不改变,不放弃)

  Examples:  

  1.We'd better stick to the main road, because the other roads are blocked with snow.  

  2.We said we'd give her the cash, and we must stick to our agreement.

  A variety of sth (phrase)

  ●A lot of things of the same type that are different from each other in some way.

  Examples:

  Examples:
